INTRODUCTION
An ongoing crisis of significant magnitude Since the escalation of conflict in Ukraine on the 24th of February, the humanitarian impact of this crisis has been immense. People in areas directly affected by conflict are in immediate need of life-saving support, lacking food, energy, utilities, and facing a breakdown in the provision of basic services. They also face the risk of environmental disasters because of proximity to hazardous infrastructure (such as energy producing facilities and transit infrastructure), a risk that extends well beyond conflict-affected areas. These conditions have triggered large-scale displacement of millions of people inside Ukraine, as well as to neighbouring countries and elsewhere in Europe.
To address the scope of this crisis and the urgent needs of affected populations, the humanitarian community has rapidly scaled up a response inside Ukraine, at border points and countries of first arrival, and at subsequent arrival destinations. Local responders, international organizations, and donors are all contributing resources to enable this multi-faceted response.
Reliable information is critical for the effective coordination and planning of such a large and complex humanitarian response. Humanitarian actors within and outside of Ukraine need access to the right kinds of data and timely analysis of humanitarian needs, displacement dynamics, and the perceptions of crisis-affected communities regarding response actors and their operations.
To support a better understanding of the crisis from the start, IMPACT began disseminating daily information products from the 25th of February . In the days and weeks that followed, IMPACT launched a number of new data collection activities to continue providing response partners with timely analysis of evolving humanitarian needs.
Below is a selection of our most recent information products, which are tailored to the specific information needs and data requirements of response actors.
